Camp Indigo is coming to Austin- it's a great place for trans kids to build supportive community!

I am so delighted to share that Camp Indigo is coming to Austin this year!

Camp Indigo is a two-week summer camp for kids age 5-17 who are trans, nonbinary, or express gender in a nontraditional way. The camp was founded by a transgender man and his wife to create a safe space with joyful experiences where kids can just focus on being kids. The camp isn't about being trans, but rather is an affirming, community-building space, and conversations about trans identities and experiences are likely to come up naturally. The younger campers do participate in some trans-centered story time and identity-centered projects.

When is the camp held?

The camps are held 9 am-3 pm July 15-26, 2024.

How much does the camp cost?

Each of the two weeks is $500 for the younger kids, and $550 for the teens. But- scholarships are available! If you need financial assistance to be able to afford to attend, no applications are necessary- codes for 25, 50, 75, and 100% off can be found on this page: https://www.thecampindigo.org/boulder

What about caregivers and parents?

There are two caregiver led sessions per day, at 9:30 am and 2 pm, that are a great way to make connections with other families, boost your knowledge, and have a safe space to process all of the things that come along with parenting trans youth.

I hope some of y'all are able to take advantage of this opportunity- it sounds like so much fun!

If what you're looking for is gender and identity affirming voice training, please send us a message, we'd be happy to set up a free phone consultation!
